It was late evening, Sorrelstar was resting off to the side of the camp. She was nearing the end of her pregnancy along with Otterfoot, a fellow queen. Falconheart had been sending off patrols all day. He was just about to order out the last hunting patrol. "Creekfrost, Marigoldclaw. Take Reedclaw and Firenose with you to hunt before the last rays of today. The queen will be kitting soon, possibly tonight." He commented.

Halftail and Thistlepaw had been out all day, searching for herbs. They had come up with a small pawful of yarrow and catmint. They'd need catmint for the upcoming winter. They'd also need to work on finding a source of water, the closest streams would surely dry up with the hot weather so close. Minkclaw Happy Hallothanksmus! 05:32, June 20, 2018 (UTC)

Creekfrost had been dozing beside the warriors den when Falconheart's voice called his and his sisters name. He jumped to his paws, eager to get going. He looked around for Marigoldclaw. "You ready to go?" —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 05:36, June 20, 2018 (UTC)

The red and white tabby stood, stretching slowly before she joined Reedclaw and the young Firenose. The tabby tom was notorious for his pranks and was almost instantly protected by his aunt, considering his aunt was Sorrelstar. She was curious what her bratty kits would be like. "Sure, whatever." Minkclaw Happy Hallothanksmus! 05:41, June 20, 2018 (UTC)

Creekfrost joined the group. "Where will we be hunting?" he asked, hoping he'd have a chance to climb in some trees, catch a bird or squirrel. He liked being up high. He wanted to catch a lot of prey for Sorrelstar and Otterfoot. If they are that close to kitting, they'll need plenty of food to keep their strength. I wonder how many kits they'll have! New kits were always so exciting. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 05:46, June 20, 2018 (UTC)

Reedclaw barely glanced at the young cats, he motioned for them to follow him as he trotted out of camp. "We'll hunt along the border with HoneyClan." He said. He gave each young cat a stern look. "Respect the border." He said before he disappeared into the brush, scenting the air. Minkclaw Happy Hallothanksmus! 05:52, June 20, 2018 (UTC)

Creekfrost felt mildly annoyed that Reedclaw had to remind them to respect the border, but got over it as soon as they left camp. He playfully nudged Marigoldclaw. "I bet I'll catch more than you." —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 05:58, June 20, 2018 (UTC)

Marigoldclaw rolled her eyes and flicked her paw when she stepped in a puddle. "I highly doubt that." Minkclaw Happy Hallothanksmus! 06:01, June 20, 2018 (UTC)

Creekfrost stuck close to her side. He always worried he was too clingy. "Yeah, you're probably right. You've always been better at everything," he said, not feeling bitter about that. He admired Marigoldclaw and thought she was one of the best warriors in the Clan. I wish I could be a little more like her. But that's all right.PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 06:05, June 20, 2018 (UTC)

Marigoldclaw scented the air, there she tasted the mixed scent of HoneyClan and BayClan. They were nearing the border. She could also smell the stream that ran through the border. She could either fish or find the water and land creatures to hunt as well. She moved to take a crouched seat beside the stream, her eyes staring into the water. Minkclaw Happy Hallothanksmus! 10:47, June 20, 2018 (UTC)

Creekfrost split away from the group, scenting the ear, keeping his ears pricked and alert. He wasn't a big fighter... the smell and sight of a lot of blood made him dizzy, which in turn made him wobbly in a fight, so he usually got beaten up very nicely. But hunting was different. This was the one of the few things he felt he could do right. In his opinion, the best places to go were in the branches of a tree, or out in an open field where he could run like the wind after his prey. He picked up the scent of a shrew and felt a little disappointed. Shrew's were quite small, but it would work. He prowled closer to the scent, until her heard small scuffling in the undergrowth up ahead. He tensed and once he saw the flash of it's pelt, he sprang, bringing his paws down on it's shoulders. It let out a shrill shriek before he cut it short as he snapped it's neck. Not my ideal prey, but oh well. I'll find something bigger.PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 14:52, June 20, 2018 (UTC)

Marigoldclaw remained crouched by the stream until the shadow of a salmon appeared, the fish to be lazily swimming by. She remained still for a moment more before her paw curved into the water, claws extended to snag the fish. She was successful, the fish flopped onto the earth and she gave it the killing bite before she crouched down once more as another headed this way.

Reedclaw had split with Firenose, the young tabby still had a lot to learn but he'd earned becoming a warrior since the death of Pinefur. Minkclaw Happy Hallothanksmus! 12:30, June 21, 2018 (UTC)

Creekfrost buried his shrew beside a bush, ready to collect later. He heard a rustle in a willow above him and his heart soared as he spotted the bushy gray tail of a squirrel. He scrambled quietly up the bark until he reached the lowest branch. He let out a happy sigh. He wasn't a huge fan of his territory... he loved BayClan, but the marsh, ew. He preferred grassland and trees. It was nice to not have wet earth in between his paws. He looked up. The squirrel was only a branch above him. A little high... Can I make that jump? he wondered. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 00:17, June 24, 2018 (UTC)

Reedclaw lashed his tail as he and Firenose headed away from the border, the older warrior scented the air. He'd round up his patrol then head back. He didn't want to be away from Otterfoot if she were to kit. Marigoldclaw shouldered her way through the trees with an adder, shrew, and two salmon in her jaws. "What'd you boys catch?" She asked through a mouthful of prey. She looked around for Creekfrost. Of, course. He was probably off playing. He played too many games. My name is Lord Voldemort 00:33, June 24, 2018 (UTC)

Creekfrost decided to go with jumping at the branch, and pray he'd make it. Was that a good idea? No, no it was not. He managed to snatch the branch with his claws, but couldn't get a grip, then fall, landing with a harsh thud on the soggy earth, and hurting his leg. Ew, ow! He attempted to catch a bass in the stream afterwords, but he was never a fisher. He only caught water drops. Creekfrost gathered his small shrew, and limped back to the rest of the patrol, his eyes level with the ground. He felt embarrassed he caught so little... but he always caught little prey, so this wasn't much different. But this time it was worse, he almost even felt a little ashamed. He was supposed to catch prey for the queens and their soon to be born kits, and he failed. When he saw Marigoldclaw's haul, it only made him feel worse about himself. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 00:39, June 24, 2018 (UTC)

Marigoldclaw wanted to laugh at the lame shrew that her brother brought back but she kept quiet. The tabby-and-white warrior followed Reedclaw back to the camp. Among arriving, Reedclaw was informed that both Otterfoot and Sorrelstar had begun kitting. Reedlcaw dismissed himself and hurried to the nursery where both his brother and Falconheart where along with Halftail and his cranky apprentice. My name is Lord Voldemort 00:43, June 24, 2018 (UTC)

Creekfrost felt anxiety start to tighten his chest once he heard that the queens had both started kitting. Why are you anxious? It's not like they're your family... I just hope everything goes well. I wish there was something I could do to help. He considered asking someone, but chickened out, and instead padded over to his sister. "You did great, hunting," he mewed, still feeling down he had failed so bad. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 00:51, June 24, 2018 (UTC)

"Of course I did. I had the best mentor." She said, settling down with her adder, one paw over the snake. She let her teeth sink into it before she tore the flesh from it and flicked her tail at him. "Want some?" My name is Lord Voldemort 00:55, June 24, 2018 (UTC)

Creekfrost sat down beside her, staring at the snake. Scaly wasn't his go-to food, but it seemed rude to decline. "Sure," he murmured and took a small bite, trying not to shudder. Creekfrost wasn't very open with most of his Clanmates. Most of them seemed to doubt him, one, for his poor battle skills, and two, he usually didn't catch much prey. He was a good hunter, but in his own territory... it didn't feel right. But Marigoldclaw was his sister, they grew up, only having each other as kin. He trusted her with his life, he admired her, he felt like he could talk to her for hours. "You'll be a good mentor one day," he said, once he finished chewing. "Maybe you'll get one of the new kits. Wouldn't it be cool if we both got apprentices and could train them together?" —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 01:05, June 24, 2018 (UTC)

Marigoldclaw shrugged. "I doubt Sorrelstar would pick such young warriors for her kits, but with Otterfoot's I'm sure Reedclaw would be picky." She replied with a shrug. My name is Lord Voldemort 01:26, June 24, 2018 (UTC)

"You're probably right, but we can still always hope," Creekfrost replied. He nodded at the snake. "You can have the rest." He didn't think he could manage another mouthful. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 01:30, June 24, 2018 (UTC)

"Suit yourself," she took another large bite just as Falconheart stepped out of the nursery, he had a grim look on his face. It looked like he was about to call a Clan meeting. The brown-and-white tabby deputy crouched before he'd leapt atop the dead log that sat at the center of the camp. "May all cats old enough to gather hear my words." He called. "Sorrelstar has finished kitting, although she has lost a life, she has five healthy kittens." Falconheart paused before announcing Otterfoot's litter. "Otterfoot has also finished kitting, three healthy kittens to her and Reedclaw." My name is Lord Voldemort 01:36, June 24, 2018 (UTC)

Creekfrost listened to the announcement and felt disturbed to hear Sorrelstar lost a life. She must have plenty more left though... The news of the healthy kits was great though. I wonder what their names will be. "Do you need anything?" he asked from where he still sat beside Marigoldclaw. "Water, bedding...?" —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 01:41, June 24, 2018 (UTC)

"If I did, I'm sure that my age hasn't surpassed me yet. I'm still young and can probably get it myself. You should probably rest,I'm sure you'll be on the dawn patrols." Marigoldclaw said, discarding the rest of her snake.

In the nursery, Sorrelstar had just regained from losing a life - feeling a bit..woozy still. Falconheart wasn't in the den and she was sure it was due to the losing a life thing. She nuzzled her five kittens close. There were three toms - a bicolored black-and-white tomkit, of which she'd named Swiftkit, a dark colored tomkit, of which she'd named Hollykit, and a brown tabby tom, of which she'd named Morningkit. She had only bore two daughters - one had a dark tortoiseshell pelt, she'd named her Dipperkit, and the other had a cream-and-grey pelt, she'd named her Commakit.

Otterfoot rested not too far from the BayClan leader. She had only given birth to three kittens. Of the litter she had a single son - Ravenkit, a black tomkit - and two daughters - Adderkit, a brown-and-white tabby she-kit and Ravenkit, a brown smoke mink she-kit. My name is Lord Voldemort 01:54, June 24, 2018 (UTC)

Creekfrost shrugged, and padded away, heading for the warriors den. I wonder if tomorrow we'll have anymore excitement, he thought as he curled up in his nest. I like good excitement, like, uh... I don't know, but something good. Nothing bad, like someone dying.

Morningkit and Hollykit snuggled against their mother, purrs rumbling in their little chests. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 03:05, June 25, 2018 (UTC)

Marigoldclaw shrugged and stretched out before the ginger-and-white warrior looked around camp, nobody was standing guard to the entrance. The tabby and white she-cat slunk past the entrance and into the warm afternoon air. My name is Lord Voldemort 03:10, June 25, 2018 (UTC)

Bladepaw practiced battle moves on a thornbush. You can already tell that wasn't going too well for him. He was covered in cuts and scraps, little drops of blood had seeped out of them, giving his white patches little red streaks. His mentor had recently died. Or, well, he didn't know what happened to his mentor. Just went poof, recently. He would be getting a new one soon, but in the mean time, he wanted his battle skills to not go rusty. So he was attacking a bush of thorns. He was too stubborn to just go over and ask one of his Clanmates for help; no, that wasn't how he rolled. Bladepaw now sat beneath the thornbush, catching his breath, and enjoying the burn of his scratches. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 02:58, June 26, 2018 (UTC)

Sorrelstar had been intent on resting but the faint memory that Bladepaw still needed a mentor stuck in her mind. The queen slipped from her nest, still weak after losing a life. She made her way to the fallen tree trunk that sat in the center of camp. "May all cats gather to hear my words," she called as she leapt up. She wanted this to be brief as she needed rest and she didn't want to be away from her kits for too long. "It is time that I name a new mentor for Bladepaw, since the recent passing of (insert name),he has been without a mentor. So I say these words before StarClan. Bladepaw's new mentor will be Marigoldclaw." The tabby queen let the cheers die before slowly made her way back into the nursery.

Marigoldclaw stood proud, her tail swishing. Good, an apprentice before her dear brother. The tabby-and-white warrior moved to stand before Bladepaw. "I suggest you rest up, kid. You've got a long day tomorrow." My name is Lord Voldemort 05:06, June 26, 2018 (UTC)

It was really awesome, returning to camp just a moment before Sorrelstar gave the announcement. I thought it'd be at least another day. He wasn't sure how to feel about his mentor. She was young, at least only a few moons older than him. Was she ready for an apprentice. Bladepaw decided to not let that bother him; besides, the Clan was always talking about what a great warrior she was. Bladepaw didn't reply to Marigoldclaw, just gave a small nod and vanished into the apprentices den to rest up. His muscles still felt sore from his attack on the bush, but that was okay. He liked that feeling. He curled up and it didn't take long for him to close his eyes. I'll be ready.

Creekfrost woke up when Sorrelstar made the announcement of Bladepaw's new mentor, and he couldn't help feeling a pang of envy this time. He wished he could have an apprentice too. He felt as though he couldn't sleep anymore, so he slipped out of camp to hunt. The mud seeped between his toes and he shuddered. He wasn't going to hunt here though. He would hunt in his favorite spot, beyond the border. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 12:16, June 27, 2018 (UTC)

It was early sunrise of the next day, Marigoldclaw had woken just before dawn and grabbed a bite to eat. She moved to stand inside the entrance of the Apprentices den. "Bladepaw, wake up. You have three minutes to meet me at the camp exit." She stated sternly. My name is Lord Voldemort 18:31, June 27, 2018 (UTC)

Bladepaw woke to Marigoldclaw's voice. He let out a soft groan and rubbed his ear. A pinch of pain stabbed the tip of it. He sat up, poking it with his paw. He felt a small tear on the tip of his ear, dried blood crusting it. He imagined teaching a bunch of admiring young cats one day, who asked questions; How'd you lose your eartip? and he'd answer; Oh, I got attacked by a thornbush. He wrinkled his nose and stood up, not bothering to smooth his crazy looking fur, and plodded out of the den and found Marigoldclaw by the entrance as she had said. "I'm ready."

Creekfrost slipped over the border into unclaimed territory. The ground became solid and grassy underpaw, and trees towered over his head. He purred happily and trotted through the grass. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 21:10, June 27, 2018 (UTC)

Marigoldclaw looked down upon the tattered apprentice, her face showing how unimpressed she clearly was. "What are the basics of the warrior code?" The tabby-and-white warrior asked, her tone was sharp as though she were looking for a complete and accurate answer. Of course, she already knew the answer. The warrior code was to give your life for your Clan at all costs, loyalty. That's what it was. My name is Lord Voldemort 15:03, July 16, 2018 (UTC)

Bladepaw blinked at Marigoldclaw. "I know everything I need to know about the warrior code. I am not a mindless kit." He remembered nights in the nursery with his mother. She had been strict and expected much of Bladepaw. She had the code imprinted in his memory by the time he was three moons old. His previous mentor taught him a few things as well, but she had never seemed to take much of it to heart. To her, it seemed like it was just there. A thing that got in the way of her daily life. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 15:34, July 16, 2018 (UTC)

"Recite them. Now." The tabby and white warrior snapped. Her yellow eyes narrowing on the apprentice. "If you don't I'll have you cleaning the elder and nursery like a kit. I'll make sure, your the last apprentice made into a warrior." Marigoldclaw sad harshly. "Now recite the warrior code and mind your tone to your elders," she added in. My name is Lord Voldemort 10:31, July 18, 2018 (UTC)

Bladepaw had to stop himself from rolling his eyes. Obviously Marigoldclaw was going to be very strict. Lucky me. "One; defend your Clan with your life. Two, do not hunt or trespass onto another Clans territory. Three, Elders and kits need to be fed before warriors and apprentices." He blinked up at the clouds as he went on. "Kits must be six moons to be apprenticed, prey is killed only to be eaten, new warriors need to keep a silent vigil over the Clan for a night, a cat can't be made deputy without mentoring an apprentice, deputy becomes leader after leader goes down, new deputy needs to be chosen before moonhigh... is this necessary?" he risked asking, giving his mentor a glance out of the corner of his eye. This didn't seem very important to him, plus it was boring. He kind of wanted to get right to training. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 04:45, July 20, 2018 (UTC)

"If you wanna become a warrior, yes. If not, you'd be better off living as a Kittypet." The warrior said coldly. My name is Lord Voldemort 06:44, July 20, 2018 (UTC)

Bladepaw stifled a sigh. "Gatherings are held at the full moon and their is a truce of no fighting for the night. Boundaries need to be checked daily. No warrior should leave a kit in pain. The word of the leader is the warrior code. A warrior doesn't need to kill to win his battles. A warrior rejects the life of a kittypet. Each Clan has the right to be independent, but when bad times come along and one needs help, they must forget borders and help each other." He glanced at Marigoldclaw. "Happy?" —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 17:08, July 20, 2018 (UTC)

"Keep up with that tone and I'll make sure Sorrelstar knows you aren't ready to be a warrior." The she-cat snapped, casting her eyes on him. "Now let's go." She said, leading the way. Every now and then she'd scent the air. My name is Lord Voldemort 17:28, July 20, 2018 (UTC)

This was going to be very hard. Bladepaw always had a tone. He didn't want to risk getting in anymore trouble, so he just kept his mouth shut, following Marigoldclaw, while wondering what had stepped on her tail. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 18:00, July 20, 2018 (UTC)

Marigoldclaw led the way, her gaze ahead. The scent of the border was coming up. "What do you smell?" She asked. My name is My name is Lord Voldemort 18:44, July 20, 2018 (UTC)

"I smell mud. A lot of mud. And water. And water on earth; which makes mud. Hmm, some vole too, and the border," Bladepaw answered, stomping through the muddy ground until his paws were caked it it. He loved playing in mud, but no way he'd do that in front of Marigoldclaw. He could already see the disapproval in her eyes. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 19:08, July 20, 2018 (UTC)

Marigoldclaw almost wanted to rake her claws through his ear. Why had she been given such a childish and disrespectful apprentice? My name is Lord Voldemort 20:45, July 20, 2018 (UTC)

"So what are we doing first?" Bladepaw asked, trotting beside Marigoldclaw and sniffing the fresh wind. "Marking borders? Hunting? Battle training?" —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 21:51, July 20, 2018 (UTC)

"We'll be walking and talking, like a tour." She stated. "You'll tell me what you know of the subjects I state. First, what do you know of HoneyClan?" She said, faintly tasting the air for HoneyClan/BayClan border. My name is Lord Voldemort 22:57, July 21, 2018 (UTC)

"Uh, well, I don't know much about their territory or prey, but I know their leader is Mothstar and deputy is Boulderclaw. Their medicine cat is also Cavernsong." Cavernsong. Cavern. That was an interesting name. "I'm assuming they must have a lot of honey on their territory to be called HoneyClan," Bladepaw answered, stomping on a patch of mud as they walked. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 23:33, July 21, 2018 (UTC)

"What terrain consists of their territory?" She asked him, nonchalantly. My name is Lord Voldemort 09:04, July 22, 2018 (UTC)

"Uhh... trees?" Bladepaw didn't actually know, but he made a wild guess and hoped for the best. —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 13:15, July 23, 2018 (UTC)

"And meadows," the tabby-and-white mentor finished. "What Clans do we share our borders with?" She asked him. She, for one, knew that they shared the forest covered border with HoneyClan an the marshy border with BeeClan, only seperated by a stream. My name is Lord Voldemort 17:11, July 24, 2018 (UTC)

"Uh..." Bladepaw shrugged. "Beats me." —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 13:52, September 27, 2018 (UTC)

The tabby-and-white she-cat cuffed her apprentice over the ears. "Pay attention. We aren't here to just fight." She looked at Bladepaw, a disapproving gaze upon her face. "Otherwise you'll be old before I have you named warrior." My name is Lord Voldemort 04:51, September 28, 2018 (UTC)

When she turned away, Bladepaw stuck his tongue out at his mentor. "So... what'er we do'in?" —PatchfeatherFrom the Pinnacle to the Pit 00:01, September 29, 2018 (UTC)
